Weekend Highlights
Just got home from an incredible few days in DC. Highlights include:
-Lots and lots of snow, especially the night I got up there.
-American History Museum. Love the pop culture and first ladies displays.
-Catching up with lots of people at Ashanna’s birthday party…so many great, fun friends I haven’t seen in a long time!
-Bagels and Baguetts, my favorite breakfast place in...
Friday Favorites: Stieglitz "Flatiron"
In honor of the trip I was supposed to be on this weekend with Cate, Kyle and Elizabeth…got completely snowed in up in DC so am staying with Layla. Hopefully I’ll still be able to make it out on Saturday to New York at least for the day so that we can still go to the Iron and Wine concert.
DC is beautiful in the snow. But the traffic isn’t.
Photo Shoot: Erika Grace Powell
Erika Powell has been a friend for years and is such a great model. I felt honored to have the chance to go on a photo shoot with her around Greenville during the “golden hour” of the day. This is one talented girl: singer, actress, model and one of the most down to earth, kind people I know. Check her out at www.erikagracepowell.com.
Weekend Highlights
Went out into the middle of nowhere on Saturday evening to celebrate our friend Logan’s birthday. We had a bonfire, played some bocce in the freezing cold, grilled out and listened to good old Avett Brothers and folksy country music from a boom box that was situated in the back of a truck. It was a great night with good people.
Also this weekend:
-Saw my good friend Jason Farr in his...
Friday Favorites: Jose Villa
I love Jose Villa’s photos. He’s located in California and is one of the few photographers who still uses film. I’d love to go to one of his workshops someday…I know it helps to have the gorgeous California countryside as a backdrop to all his photos, but I just think he has a great eye for beauty. Check out his blog at www.josevillablog.com and get inspired!
Photo Shoot: Leah
My sister Leah and I decided to make the most of the leftover snow by having a spontaneous photos shoot. I’ve got to say that this girl makes quite the model, especially since I caught her off guard and gave her about one minute to prepare before snapping her photo.
Weekend Highlights
Snow days! It actually snowed on Monday, January 10 but lasted all week. Highlights from the snow days include:
-Snowball fight in Cleveland Park.
-Neighbor meetup with Marco, Michelle, Time and me because we were all so stir crazy that we walked to Starbucks to get out.
-Trying to do wheelies in the mall parking lot with Jack and Blake, to no avail.
Photo Shoot: Blake Julian
The photo shoot with Blake was one of my favorites I’ve done. He’s easy to take great photos of and happens to be pretty hilarious. The weather was on our side as well: we had a picture-perfect sunny day in the Cliffs near Greenville.
Friday Favorites: Jasmine Star
I absolutely love Jasmine Star. I was able to hear her speak last fall at a WPPI conference in DC and she’s one of the most entertaining, vibrant people I think I know of. I’m always checking out her blog for inspiration, photography tips or just for fun.
Check out her blog to see the gorgeous images she creates and to read her quirky blog posts at www.jasminestarblog.com.
Photo Shoot: Nicole and Matt Creacy
Was so excited to do a maternity shoot with the adorable Nicole and Matt. Nicole is due in about a week so we were just in time to get a few shots before the baby arrives!
Welcome to Jennie Raff Photography
Thanks for dropping by my new blog! I hope use this blog as a space to not only post photos from shoots but also have a bit of a record of fun things happening and things I just love.
I can’t promise to post three times per week but I’ll do my best. I hope for Mondays to be a sort of weekend update, Wednesdays will have photos from an earlier shoot, and Fridays will be Friday...
