Weekend Highlights
This was such a great weekend full of dancing and celebrating great friends! Friday night was Rob’s birthday party as well as Story’s goodbye party. It was a bittersweet celebration; I don’t want Story to leave town! Enjoyed dancing the entire night with some of my favorite people in Greenville.
Saturday night was super fun as well. Anna Rowe decided to celebrate her...
Photo Shoot: Aimee and Spencer
I had so much fun going out and shooting with Aimee and her sweet little four-year-old, Spencer. Ah, he’s adorable! The blue eyes and blonde hair makes me think of my Icelandic friends.
Friday Favorites: Leonardo DiCaprio
My favorite movie when I was 15 was “Romeo + Juliet,” so of course I’ve always had a place in my heart for Leonardo DiCaprio. But he really does choose amazing, complex roles in really interesting films (a few that come to mind are “Shutter Island,” “The Departed,” and “Inception”) and is such a great actor. I can usually bet that any movie...
Weekend Highlights
Meg, Holly, Liz, Lauren, and a couple other girls from Grace Church were involved in a dodgeball tournament on Friday. I went to cheer them on. One of the funniest things I’ve seen in a while was watching my friends’ team go up against a bunch of what looked like 10-year-old girls. Those poor girls! Completely unfair match but it was entertaining to watch.
Saturday was...
Weekend Highlights
This weekend was full of highlights, but Friday night’s Valentine’s Day party has to come first.
Caroline and Charity threw a fantastic party! Everyone dressed in festive attire (whether wearing cheesy prom stuff or just red and pink) and people danced all night. The photo booth was one of the best ideas for the party if you ask me. Who doesn’t love a photo booth?
I...
Friday Favorites: Downton Abbey
For all you people who have not gotten hooked on the best show on television right now, go to pbs.org and check out “Downton Abbey.”
Everybody’s doing it (watching the show, that is). And with good reason. The characters are complex and well-acted and everybody’s in somebody’s business. Kindof like Pride and Prejudice meets soap opera, except better.
Weekend Highlights
I drove to Richmond on Sunday and stayed with my good friend Ellen Kelly. Richmond is such a charming city! I like that it’s big enough to be considered a city, with numerous universities, lots of artsy shops, and great little restaurants, but it also feels accessible.
Ellen and I went to a couple of superbowl parties and I even ended up talking to a guy who has already finished the...
Friday Favorites: Word of Mouth
Word of Mouth is hands down my new favorite lunch spot in Greenville. As the name of the place suggests, they don’t have a website or any advertising; I never would have known about it if my sister Cate hadn’t suggested we go there for lunch the other day.
When the strawberry and walnut salad came out, I knew I needed to feature this place as a Friday favorite. What beautiful food!...
