Weekend Highlights

I love Thanksgiving with my family. This year was one of my favorites that I can remember. The food was absolutely delicious (green bean casserole, broccoli casserole, mashed potatoes, turkey and dressing…all of the usual awesome Thanksgiving food!) and conversation was sparkling.

This year, Jess and Joel created a “conversation box” filled with questions like, “What was your first job” or “I wish more people would….” Whoever pulled the question had to answer it for the group, then we all went around and answered as well. It was such a fun way of getting to know little things about everyone, like what talents they wish they had or what their favorite movies are.

We wrote haikus (a Thanksgiving tradition), picked names for Christmas presents, listened to a bit of Dad’s poetry, sang together, and just had a wonderful evening. I love my family!

Other highlights:

-Coffee date with Aunt Kate. She is in town from New Mexico and is one of kindest people I know. She’s so vibrant and full of life.

-Night out with Vanessa.

-Dinner with McCall and Jack.

-Greenville city-planning at Poinsette Hotel with David and James.

-Losing and finding Bethany.
