Weekend Highlights

I drove to Richmond on Sunday and stayed with my good friend Ellen Kelly. Richmond is such a charming city! I like that it’s big enough to be considered a city, with numerous universities, lots of artsy shops, and great little restaurants, but it also feels accessible.

Ellen and I went to a couple of superbowl parties and I even ended up talking to a guy who has already finished the program that I may transfer into up at VCU. It was a short but sweet trip, and a great excuse to get out of town for a couple days.

Other highlights:

-Kobecky Family Band concert in Asheville on Friday. Thanks, Rob, for getting our group together! The band was absolutely amazing to see live, and there were about 20 of us from Greenville who carpooled up to see the show.

We ate at a little crepe place called Twisted Crepe before the show. I’ll definitely be going there again for the nutella and strawberry crepe. Yum! Can we please get one of these in Greenville?

-Game night at Blake and Holly’s on Saturday. Eight of us played fun card games, ate cake and pizza, and had to say “Jack is the coolest” more times that we should have since Jack won the first round and got to make up his “rule.”
