Weekend Highlights
Meg, Holly, Liz, Lauren, and a couple other girls from Grace Church were involved in a dodgeball tournament on Friday. I went to cheer them on. One of the funniest things I’ve seen in a while was watching my friends’ team go up against a bunch of what looked like 10-year-old girls. Those poor girls! Completely unfair match but it was entertaining to watch.
Saturday was Jessica’s birthday, and Joel had an elaborate surprise birthday party planned. Jessica and Leah went out for an afternoon run, and along the way one friend, then another, then another met up with them on their run. Jess returned from her run with about ten other girls who had surprised her on the run, and the house was full of more friends.

At the party, our friend Annie Koelle made the most amazing homemade brownies I’ve ever eaten. Yes, I got the recipe.
Delicious!
Saturday night was spent up at River Falls Lodge for contra dancing.
It was such a crowded night and about twenty of our friends from Greenville were up dancing! The night was lovely and cool, the band was excellent, and the dancing was exhilarating!
